2. Wategos Beach

3. Cape Byron Headland Park

Byron Bay lighthouse is the most iconic spot in Byron Bay. It is located on the northern tip of the peninsula, and it looks out to sea. 9. Sunset Cruise with Byron Bay Cruises

Another fun and romantic activity to add to your itinerary is a sunset cruise.

Byron Bay Cruises offer a variety of different options. You can take a basic 3 1/2 hour sunset cruise or you can upgrade to an all-inclusive package with seafood buffet, drinks, entertainers and live music.

Whichever option you choose, you’re guaranteed an amazing experience on the water.

If you want to bring your own food and drink, you can also book the basic 3 1/2 hour cruise. Choose this option if you want to avoid a fancy dinner and enjoy your romantic evening in solitude.

10. Hire a fancy car and drive in the Hinterlands to Federal

This is a great activity to do with your loved one during your Byron Bay city break. As well as the fact that it’s romantic, it’s also a lot of fun to drive around the back roads and get a glimpse of what life in Byron Bay is like. The drive will take around an hour or so, depending on the length of your drive and how far you want to go.

Land at Doma in Federal and make your way a short distance to the Byron Bay Hinterlands. You can take in all the beautiful scenery here, including the beautiful coastline, lakes and forests. It’s a great spot to stop by if you have time, as it’s secluded and quiet.

11. Dolphin Kayaking

The Byron Bay area is home to several dolphin and whale watching tours. The best option is Dolphin Kayaking, which will take you on a tour up the coast to see whales and dolphins. There are two different options here:

The basic option gives you an hour of kayaking with the opportunity to see nine dolphins and whales. You’ll also have access to a food buffet on the cruise and an entertainer for the evenings entertainment.

The more expensive option is a two hour cruise with the opportunity to see six dolphins and whales. This is also a food buffet option, but you won’t have access to the entertainers or other options.

Either way, these tours are wonderful opportunities that provide an amazing view of nature and wildlife in this area of Australia. You’ll also get some great photos that you can take home with you at the end of your visit.
